After another colossal playoff failure, what’s next for David Price?

LeBron James will cry to the officials. The first penalty in any hockey game in Montreal will be called against the visitors. And David Price will spit the bit in the playoffs.
Of this, you can be sure. Price was hoping to get back in your good graces against the Yankees in Game 2 of the AL Division Series Saturday night. He was going to make you forget all about his $217 million contract and the ambush of Dennis Eckersley and Fortnite and the rest of the nonsense. He was going to win a playoff game. Against the Yankees. He was prepared to do the Full Lackey to the tune of Bob Marleys Redemption Song and finish the night like Sally Field at the Oscars squealing, You like me! You really like me!

David Price has a 0 and 8 record with a 6.03 ERA in playoff starts. Jack Morris or John Smoltz he ain't. Al Leiter has no wins but he pitched well for the NY Mets in playoff starts. David Price reminds me of Don Newcombe of the great Brooklyn Dodgers teams. He had a 0-4 World Series record with a 8.59 ERA.

Im a Yankees fan but this piling on Price is silly. The Red Sox (and I say this grudgingly) have the better team right now and will likely win this series. If they do, how much further in the playoffs, exactly, do the Red Sox think they are going without Price?

It was a ridiculous amount of money that they came to agree upon for Price. He’s one of those guys who I think is ‘tired’ by the middle of August, and probably needs a three-week break before any playoff series.

The Red Sox ... have the better team right now and will likely win this series.
Winning in the playoffs is all about who's hot, not better.
Right now, the Yanks are hot.

Without a doubt, as soon as the season is over, 10-OCT maybe, the Red Sox should sign Price to a 20 year multi-million dollar contract.

After two games in the playoffs I cant say who is hot. I can say that the Yankees better start hitting better with RISP.

After humiliating the Yank-offs nothing matters. Go Brewers!...unless facing the Red Sox.
