Business departments are usually not the place of indoctrination. More likely social sciences; history, psychology, social work, etc. I am not sure where economics majors fit but there too. And sadly, Bible departments in too many self described Christian colleges. All the basics required give these profs a shot at every student. That is the problem. They should be financially made to trim their brainwashing fluff. My kids took basics as much as possible at junior colleges or online to transfer. Best thing. History can be wonderful but these days I don’t trust the tenured profs at all.
Interesting. I went to undergrad when this was all getting started, back late 80s early 90s. I was returning to school, University of Texas, and I was in the business school. I did find that the environment in the business school was relatively normal, while the free speech area in front of the Union was frequently the site of publick bed-ins and queering and whatever else structural feminists and intersectional gender studies grievance studies groups could think up to shock. Can’t even imagine what must be going on there now.
