Yes, I’m aware of the movement. It’s not gone very far plus I think (from what I’ve read) it is pretty open-ended. I have worried that it would be hijacked by the anti-gun mob. But I think if 2018 goes well and 2020 goes well there may be a big opportunity to get term limits. IIRC, Newt got term limits seriously considered within his Contract with America movement but it was unenforceable. Bottom line, I think if the Republicans can achieve large enough majorities, and with Trump’s leadership on arousing the people, it is within reach. The fastest way to an amendment is Congress.
I personally never thought it had a chance. At best could get 30 states or so, would fall short. I didn’t oppose it, but I didn’t put a lof of energy into worrying about it. After Levin became such a terrible never trumper, I stopped paying attention to anything he said or was pushing. He really hurt his credibiity. He’s better now, but he damaged his brand, and I have never gone back to listening to him.
