I do have a problem with this. He is needed to vote, even if there is an overwhelming amount of yes votes. It’s his job, what he was elected for.
I understand the wedding was planned months ago. So go, walk daughter down the isle, slip out the back door and get on the plane. Just get there and vote.
I would say he has his priorities exactly as they should be.
He has vowed to be there if needed, he also made that vow personally to Kavanaugh.
He also committed to walk his daughter down the aisle, presumably months prior to this.
I would bet that Kavanaugh, being the devout father he is, would strongly agree with Daines decision wholeheartedly.
