chage(1) - Linux man page
The chage command changes the number of days between password changes and the date of the last password change. This information is used by the system to determine when a user must change his/her password.

Consider the chage implications.
All old users, say to government computer systems, have to sign in again if their chage is changed.
So if you do change your password a new list of users can be created.

All I see is bait!
