How long is the vote open once the role call starts?

Typically, 15 minutes.

On occasion, they may keep the vote open to accommodate someone who is rushing to the floor (might be someone in a meeting with House members or lobbyists), but I don't think "rushing to the floor" includes being on a flight from Montana.

A learn-ed individual on Cavuto’s show stated today the vote is open until such time McConnell closes it. Longest time the vote was held open was 5 plus hours (for the stimulus bill for a senator who wished to attend his mother’s funeral.
