It is likely that the Republicans will pick up Senate seats next month, and Murkowski’s value as a swing vote will drop quite a bit.

I say if the nomination fails... Trump immediately announces he will not allow this character assassination by the swamp to stand and will re submit Kavanaugh in January after the new Senate has been seated.
Make the November elections a flat out referendum on Kavanaugh and the Court....
