I’ve been going to the same donut shop here in L.A. for the past 10 years until recently. Absolutely fresh and I talked to the chefs once in a while.
Got bought out by a new management team. White chick. The original owners were Taiwanese but I could see in their faces they were tired of having the shop open 22 hours EVERY DAY, and sort of knew it would affect their health.
The added headache is at 2 am, its full of trannies and crack addicts...but the donuts are fresh baked. Still tring to find my next fave donut shop here...
In Mesa, AZ, someone opened in an old Winchell’s location and they were too cheap to spring for a new sign. They scraped off half the ‘W’, one ‘l’ and the ‘s’, and Shazam, Vinchel!
