I saw it for the first time when I was about 10 or so...loved that Arthurian stuff (liberal parents lol) on cable...I was a little too advanced for my age (born in 72; I'd already read 1984 and got most of it by then)...shoot I still rant about how good "The Emerald Kingdom" was 😎 Boorman was a savage 😀

Very cool.
And of course, the Lady of the Lake references. She would be the youngest Lady it seems.
Don’t mix up the Lady with the rightful king (Arthur) - Lady is in the lake where the sword comes from, Arthur pulled it from a stone it was placed in, so this is perfectly fitting actually.

Well, it did corrode (interesting usage, “dissolve”) as in the pix.
They WILL corrode, it just depends on the material and the environment.
This one at least is very discernible.
