Hey a couple suggestions if you want to check out some new bands with the old vibe.

First is Blackberry Smoke. They are a country tinged southern rock type band with some great tunes. Album called “The Whippoorwil” is my favorite.

Another newer band you might like is Greta Van Fleet. They sound just like Zeppelin but have some great songs on their EP which is called Greta Van Fleet.

I sure wish there was a new band with the 80’s hairband vibe that I could get into. I did listen to the new Judas Priest album on Amazon which came out in March. Very good with some old school Priest riffs. Priest and Deep Purple were here at one of our local venues a couple of weeks ago but I couldn’t make it. I did see Foreigner and Tesla Labor day weekend which was an awesome show. I also saw Mettallica the same week. Good week of shows for me.

My big hair band of the 80's was Def Leppard. Not sure they were even considered "big hair", but they wrote and played some very melodic rockers.

"Hysteria" is one of my all time favorite rock ballads. Their drummer had only one arm at that time, but listen to what he does. Nothing fancy, just hits the right drum at the right time, or stops at the right time. Saw them live some years back but too far away to see how he set up his kit for one arm. Guess I could Google.

Just listened to Greta Van Fleet. Yes, they do sound like Zepplin. So what! They rock and it’s time for that sound to come back around. However, the lead singer and the band could be a “cover” band for Zepplin, they’re so much alike. The drummer even has the same kit as Bonham. But sounded like the old rock I love.
