I live in Issa’s district that is now up for grabs, and am really hopeful to retain Hunter’s seat. If he’s guilty, that can be decided after the election. If he has legitimate problems, hopefully, he can stay in office until there is a special election so the governor doesn’t replace him with a Dem. Unless, of course, Cox wins the governor election. It’s a long shot, but he has a shot.
Criminal attacks on sitting congresspeople need to be bipartisan. I guarantee you there would be dozens of democrats who could be indicted for far more than any republican on these types of charges.
