As other pointed out I think it’s Eshoo (sp?), Ford’s congress critter from the House of Reps, who she first sent a letter to.

Friends of Ford have told reporters they’ve never heard her voice sound like that before. I now think it’s indicative of her self-hypnosis, she made herself think she was a child with repressed memories and that’s how it came out.

I had considered Keith Ellison also. However, he isn’t a senator. He even stepped down from being a congressman and is currently running for Mn. state Attorney General.
