As Ford's House rep, I don't know what her responsibility would have been upon receiving the letter (if that part of the story is even true), but she should not have kept it secret.
There were reports (RUMINT) that Ford said on her facebook page that somebody should have accused Gorsuch when he was appointed and also that there may be another letter similar to the one she sent DiChi naming Gorsuch instead. I’ve always wondered, if there was such a letter, it may have gone to Eshoo (the year before).
