They left their homes and took up arms, and did whatever they had to do to create a new government. John Jay left his young son at home so that he could take up the position of Ambassador to Spain. Our Founding Fathers would find a way to stay in DC.
Perhaps the Dems will allow the vote to go forward Friday. They know MM has the votes. Why should they give up their weekend for nothing?
