Read the other day that the guns on the Iowa battleships were disabled. They also haven’t been sealed & air conditioned to prevent corrosion. That stands to reason as the vessels are museum ships open to the public. The Iowa’s are not coming back.

The Missouri had missile firing equipment fixed on board when the Gipper brought them back briefly.
