In Denver 1969-70 there was a gas war 22.9 cents per gallon and a girl in a bikini pumped your gas for you. /no innuendo intended

Those were the days, my friend.

Probably why I so enjoyed working in Japan for 14 years . . . it was like raising our kids in the same social environment in which I grew up. Quite a bit pricier and a different language, but otherwise a country as sane as the one we had back in the day.
