Scapulas...my sister, before my mom was wheeled into the hearse, took my mom’s scapula off her and pinned it on my shirt. This all happened about 1 month after I started treatment for the “came back again” cancer, and I’m still not sure whether she was hoping it would extend my life, or just make the end sooner but protected!!
Yep, that’s how us Catholic girls put out a hit on someone, we pin a scapula on them and then yell “Hey, God! She’s ready now!”” LOL!
