Anyone in the Pentagon who opposes Space Force should be GONE IMMEDIATELY.
Space is the high ground in any future conflict. To fail to address it, for a military officer who is supposedly knowledgeable of such things, is tantamount to treason.
The opposition is surely coming from the entrenched leadership at the top of the AF pyramid rank structure. A Space Command would blow up the career space/time continuum of the AF rank structure above the rank of captain as well as moving the location and number of Colonel and General officer positions around perhaps leading to the promotion of nontypical candidates.
