One other thought about the use of the word “activated” regarding Graham. Activated is a word that is used when a member of the military is taken from reserve or inactive status and put in active status as part of the military. Graham was a JAG officer, and used that background well in the Clinton impeachment. Maybe Graham has been ordered by the commander in chief to rejoin the miltary as an officer and conduct this operation.

Is there anything that prevents an active duty member of the military from serving in Congress?

I wouldn’t think so. National Guard? Right? Graham for all his faults seems like he was/is a damned good lawyer. I am praying for him.

LGs status would depend if recalled to active or reserve duty. When recalled one is put on orders, Title 10 (US code) for active duty or Title 32 for NG or Reserve. Traditional guardsmen or reservists could be weekend or part time warriors or could be on continuous orders.

If not on Active Duty orders LG is still a civilian except when specifically on orders.

I was thinking about "Graham activated" and was listening to Wethepeople tonight on youtube and they remarked that Graham was an 'Iron Eagle' meaning a Colonel who is out of chances of being promoted and that matches Graham as a career reserve JAG Colonel.

They went over Q's references to Iron Eagle and there are interesting co-relations given Graham's questioning Kavanaugh on civilians being covered by military tribunals.

Worth looking into further.

Yes, active duty. Can't happen, can't run. Have to be retired, out or in a non-active Reserve status.
