In your opinion. How many ruined military careers because of alcoholism did you counsel? How many broken military families because of alcoholism have you tried to put back together or comfort? Maybe remembering that high a number is a challenge.
I don't counsel, but have seen many under the gun for Carry Nation like attitudes arising from Tailhook, and resulting witch hunts on the Club system. Never said alcoholism was good, just over diagnosed and used to destroy good folks like the Judge here. Same evil vociferous intent. My 20+ yrs experience is it is a chance for marginal folks to climb the ladder since it has such command attention.
2 beers in 24 you are good, 3 you're an alkie, think about drinking in 6 months you are an alkie. Not very scientific or person-centric. Just like being questioned about smoking @ 60 when you quit @16. No science, agenda driven like AGW.
