There are 70,412,021 DECLARED Catholics in the US - 22% of the population.
There are over 400K priests in the US - no doubt many men found cover inside the priesthood especially in the last 50 years.
But any large organization can be infiltrated by ‘bad actors’..(look at the federal government, eg..)
Yes, the Church needs to be proactive in response and active investigation. But most parishes are small enough and concerned enough and educated enough now to recognize the problem and take action.

That was my point, they cannot rely on the heirarchy to remove and punish the bad actors.
Just as horrible as the queer-child-molesting "priests", are the evil cafeteria "catholics" and the secular baby-killer "catholics".
The faithful also needs to dispatch these vile democrats from both The Church and their elected offices. They are stealing the Catholic vote and then betraying, misrepresenting and actually smearing their trusting constituents from their legislative positions.
