John Maynard Keynes shaped economic thought in the post WWII era. One of his famous quotes was, “In the long run, we are all dead.”
And why not? The future never arrives. Right?
If you do not think we are suffering the results of decades of Keynesian economic thought, that his long-run (the future) has never arrived because we must first, and necessarily, actualize the NOW at this very moment in order to make the PAST the FUTURE, then I could recommend several past and present economic texts to challenge that idea.
