I agree with all that you say except one thing. I think a recess appointment expires at the end of each Congress. This Congress expires January 2019. An appointment would last only 3 or 4 months.
A recess appointment made in the next Congress would last until January 2021. But if we pick up seats, why would we make a recess appointment? I’d appoint Kavanaugh and tell the Dems to suck it. If we lose seats, then we won’t get anyone, and there won’t be a recess to make appointments in.
And if we don't see the unredacted docs soon we will know the people no longer rule this country. Q said the Dems offered to drop opposition to Kavanaugh if the redacted docs were not released. They have NOT dropped opposition to K and the unredacted documents are still in limbo.
