Mitch would NEVER bring this before the senate if he didn’t have the votes, they have the votes!!!
I think Manchin will vote yes, if he needs to change parties so be it he is a decent guy and his constituents LOVE Trump!!!

If I were Kavanaugh, after this completely unwarranted drag through the sewer of liberal politics, I would make liberals dread every day the court is in session. And he’ll have an ally in Justice Thomas.
He only needs 50 senators, with the VP casting the 51st vote, and you know that Pence will vote for him.
Impeach is one thing, it only takes a majority of house members to do that, but to convict and remove him from the bench requires 67 senators and that will NEVER happen.
It would be political suicide to impeach a SCOTUS member, and then not convict him.
Can you imagine the decisions that would come down after that.
A quorum is necessary, but unless they can prevent a quorum (doing so requires fully half of the Senate to be absent), only half-plus-one of the senators present need to vote for a bill.
A quorum call became an issue when McCain was unable to come to the Senate, because if every Democrat was absent, the Republicans would need 51 senators to pass legislation rather than being able to proceed with a majority of 50 out of 99. But apparently purposely fleeing a quorum call can get your ass dragged back to the Senate by the Capital Police! And they would only have to be able to find enough senators to meet a quorum!
And yes, 25 out of 51 makes a majority!
So they are calling out their rent-a-mob to block entry by the Senators.
