We are now at the Lotte New York Palace. The top of President Trump’s meeting with South Korean President Moon was broadcast live so many of you will have seen.We entered the room at about 2:50pm local time.
You may have seen that he answered our questions about Rosenstein (see below). *
* *Here are some notes to help your reporting.* *
* South Korean President Moon was seated to President Trumps right. Both presidents had a line of delegates seated alongside them. President Trump’s delegation included VP Mike Pence, Sec Mike Pompeo, Amb. John Bolton, Sarah Sanders, Ivanka Trump, Matt Pottinger, Keith Kellogg and one other person I could not identify. Dan Scavino was standing on the side of the room.
President Trump called President Moon a “good friend” He said they had very important discussions.
They have had “Terrific talks on trade”
they will be “signing a very important deal in a little while” POTUS called it a “very exciting event.” We are “basically redoing of agreement... was very unfair for US.” He said the new KORUS is great for South Korea and great for the U.S. He added that they will be talking about North Korea “making tremendous progress”
“Chairman Kim has been terrific,” President Trump said.

Moon said to President Trump “it is a pleasure to see you again” “Thanks for your support” Moon said he “had a great trip to Pyongyang” “I achieved progress,” he said.
He said Chairman Kim sent a message to President Trump with him.
Moon described it as “hugely significant” that Chairman Kim has committed to denuclearization and added that he is genuinely looking to take actions to relinquish its nuclear program.
“Chairman Kim conveyed unwavering trust and expectations in you,” Moon told Trump. “You are indeed the only person who can solve this.”
He also said that the revision of FTA is “significant.”
BACK TO TRUMP: Trump said he will have a second summit with Kim Jong Un “in the not too distant future” Location TBD he said we are “both looking forward to doing it.” He said he expects it to be a similar to format we had before. Most likely different location. “We are in no rush. No hurry.” He said we are “making more progress than anybody has made ever.”
*TRUMP COMMENTS ON ROSENSTEIN:* He said he will be meeting with Rosenstein on Thursday at the White House. “We will be determining what to do” Ill be back on Thursday “I spoke with Rod today and well see what happens”
