You are truly blessed. I wish I had your flexibility and good blood circulation. At times, I will fidget in my plane seat like a restless child, as I look for a ‘comfortable’ position. Of course, I’m arthritic, overweight and bored on top of it all. That’s where one of those little bottles of Vodka comes in handy. My ‘Nerve Tonic’. I’ll mix that with my Orange Juice and take a nap while staring out of the window. Hopefully, nobody shuts that window view! Once I see the vast fluffy floors of white cotton candy, I can usually relax for a while.

I am not amused. Congress is going to raise the price of my airfare with this or keep it above what it might be.

Any time the Government meddles in an industry or business, that's exactly what happens - prices go UP.

Has NOTHING been learned from the fiasco called Obamacare?!

Choose to sit in the exit row. Noticeably more leg room ... but the seats don’t recline.

Amtrak came about from the federal government stealing intercity trains from the private railroads in the first place, after they overregulated them nearly out of existence. They sure will not reverse that move.

These days, I think the only privately-operated passenger rail service in the whole country is Florida’s Brightline, which is a brand of the Florida East Coast Railway, connecting Miami and Fort Lauderdale currently.

I’m 6’1” and 69+ years old. I’m currently about as flexible as a 300 year old oak tree. I hate airline seats and have avoided them since 2005. I dread the thought going to visit my son and DIL who moved across the country. Guess I’ll wait for them to visit me.

I’m always pleased to hear our congress is tackling the tough problems, as usual. The on-going coup d’etat to overthrow of the duly elected POTUS? Not really important, anyway.

“Gad, I wish Fedzilla would privatize AMTRAK and let the private sector have at it.”

Yeh, agree. I live in the DFW area and much of my long distance driving is west. This is where I would like autonomous driving vehicles. I could get out on the interstate, punch in the destination, kick back and read, snooze, whatever.

That’s how leftists roll, in both parties. Meddle in commerce, but leave the “revolution” to the unelected bureaucrats.

*************

Given the limited pool of talent and intellectual ability in congress maybe it is a tough problem for them. LOL

Perhaps you don’t remember the time of pretty flight attendants, outrageously high ticket prices and smoke-filled cabins ...

How about a 50% refund to all passengers on all flights that don't push back within an hour of their scheduled departure time?

At least "outrageously high ticket prices" meant 2/3 of the seats were empty. You could always stretch out back then.

Those were great days for travel. Very relaxing.

If you think that was bad, try fling frontier. With the max seats, once you get in, you can’t move. And god help if you end up in a Center sear.

“Why is congress investigating leg room in the first place? There are countless more important things they should be looking into.”

They were told it is getting cramped back there.

I wish congress would remove the ability to sell seats they have no intention of providing... Overbooking is FRAUD and should never have been legalized...

American charges extra for the exit row. Sometimes I upgrade.
