JFTR, I clarified that this happened in Canada because Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin all have cities or municipalities called Ottawa. (There are also towns called Ottawa in South Africa and the Ivory Coast, probably of different etymology.)

And all of those states would stand a higher chance of having a tornado! I’m guessing that tornadoes are fairly rare in Ottawa?
