I believe that it is only a court-ordered determination of mental illness prevents one from buying a firearm. Going to your doctor because you are depressed doesn’t count against you buying a gun.
Exactly. I believe legislation was presented or discussed once upon a time to deny firearms for those with a mental illness and it was rejected because it’s too broad of a category.
