Moose also are dangerous if your car hits them. If you hit a deer, the front of the car hits the body of the deer, and it ruin your radiator. If you hit a moose, however, the body is highter than the hood of the car, so you have 1000 plus pounds of moose body going through your windshield.

Many years ago my oldest brother attended a small college outside of Charlotte, NC. I visited him one weekend on a red eye flight. Driving back to the college along a dark country road we came on an accident scene, local sheriffs were handling it. Apparently a horse got loose from somewhere and got plowed into by a semi truck. God, what a mess that was!
