It is not so conniving as that. Those fleeing the socialist wannabe Utopias do not understand the connection between all those “services” that they think make things civilized and the high taxes and crime that they spawns as will as the poverty engendered thereby. What the government is and does is to them totally unconnected to how the people live. Our Public School system and our universities are largely to blame. No one knows any history or civics or understands cause-and-effect.These things and the other once basic subjects are totally missing from the curricula.
