Apparently, Kavanaugh’s wife was Bush’s personal secretary when he was Governor in Texas. She also worked for him in the White House, where she met and married Kavanaugh.
The Bushes were reported to have attended their wedding.
Just today, Bush released another statement endorsing Kavanaugh.
I am not a fan of GW, but I think personal loyalty means a great deal to him.
Loyalty to a Bush is a wasted virtue.
