She engaged Debra Katz, a Washington lawyer known for her work on sexual harassment cases. On the advice of Katz, who believed Ford would be attacked as a liar if she came forward, Ford took a polygraph test administered by a former FBI agent in early August. The results, which Katz provided to The Post, concluded that Ford was being truthful when she said a statement summarizing her allegations was accurate.

First thing that jumps out at me is the person who administered the polygraph is a former FBI agent rather than a polygraph examiner. I think they can be both but it is also possible that they were an agent and not a polygraph examiner with the bureau and they are trying to puff up credentials.

Second, it states that the results were presented for the general statement she made about the supposed incident versus questions about the details. If the FBI was administering the polygraph, I am certain they would ask her specifically about each of the details in her statement. It does not appear that is what happened here.
