When 22-year-old Jessy first learned she was pregnant, she was in shock. At the time, she was a junior at the University of California, Riverside, the president of her campus chapter of Planned Parenthood Generation Action, and a reproductive rights activist. Still, she said she never quite imagined herself as someone who might someday be fighting for her own right to have an abortion.
"I just didn’t know what to do for myself even though I knew what I would always tell others," Jessy told Teen Vogue. "Knowing that what was inside me kept growing as time progressed really did take an emotional toll on me, my grades, my social life… it wasn’t until after I got my abortion that I got some sort of relief.
Jessy was ultimately able to get an abortion, and now she is one of 13 young people between the ages of 17 and 24 who will be participating in Youth Testify. The new leadership program being launched by Advocates for Youth and the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) is specifically for young people who have had abortions and want to share their stories to change the conversation around abortion and combat misinformation. “Because of all the hurdles I had to go through with insurance, I had to play the waiting game for so long, and because there’s so much stigma surrounding abortion, I was ashamed and didn’t try to reach out for more help,” Jessy told Teen Vogue.

How does a teen afford an abortion?
Most often teens who are being molested have the abortion paid for by the sex offender.
However what about those girls who had sex with another boy at school, that still does happen. How do they pay for an abortion?
I remember reading a story decades back on scare tactics that PP used. They would make the girl calculate how much a baby costs vs an abortion. Then they told her ways she could get the money. Lot of teens had part time jobs so they could get some of the cash for the abortion.
However I just went an google it! Say I was a teen and needed help with an abortion what do I do?

“What is shocking is people have no concept of the fact that even with condoms and birth control pills. they can still get pregnant. In the city where I live, the coordinator of the local pro-life Pregnancy Aid center got pregnant years ago, unmarried, twice: once when using a condom and once on the pill.
She should have known that you can get a “breakthrough ovulation” if you forget to take the Pill even once, and that’s what she had done. And speaking of “breakthrough,” that term -— as well as “slip and drip,” “wear and tear,” applies to condoms as well :o/”
I wonder if she knew that when one uses the condom only method one must also use contraceptive foam every time as well?
Wonder if it occurred to her to use a condom as well as the pill since this was not her husband and she don’t know where he’s been?

Mrs. Don O, I think if we knew each other outside of the digital arena we would be great friends. As horrible as 9/11 was and how terrible and evil the loss of life was. This issue will kill many more thousands than the terrorists did on that September day.
