the employee gets their share in form of paycheck. what this woman is accused of is theft, taking some thing more from her employer than agreed upon for her employment.
also the context of what you posted is about a preacher being supported. though it gives examples of other ways employers may choose to share with employees, it doesn’t mean the employee gets to choose what they take from employer.
A sheperd gets paid in the form of the milk they drink? A guy tending a vinyard gets paid by the grape he eats? Ok. Dont want to work for you!
Seriously though, if they had a problem with this lady snacking, they should have caught on years and years ago, or explained that employees were forbidden from tasting the merchandise they sell, which to me is like telling a carsalesman he cant test drive the cars hes supposed to sell.
