Thankfully, the venue for the reception was willing to move to another date at no charge if we let them know by Wednesday afternoon. If we wait past that it costs us $2000 to change it. They are willing to show up and still do it on Sunday(it is a very nice venue), however, we would be on generator power and the area is prone to flooding. If we keep the date and no one shows we are out all the money. My daughter,of course, is saying “I don’t care, I want it to go on” and we are saying that even if the weather is fine Sunday there may be alot of storm damage and power outage...no one may show up due to that because let’s be honest who wants to go to a wedding when dealing with cleanup from a massive storm while also not having power. she is an emotional wreck...

You can only put your arms around her and tell her you will stand behind whatever she wants. If she decides to go ahead the important thing is her parents will watch their beloved daughter get married.

She wants it to go on, go on! It may be sorta trashed. Fewer guests may come. Carry on with plan b in case no one can get there or it’s just impossible somehow.
