Everything I’ve learned about Sessions tells me he is the right person. Considering his MO, why would we know more than a fraction of what he is doing?

The scope of this cleansing is enormous. Think of what we’ve learned these past 10+ months, this tapestry of corruption has beaucoup threads. Think of the 10s of thousands of sealed documents. Sure, they’re probably not all indictments, but a good portion probably are. Increased enforcement of the border, of trafficking, of MS-13 misdeeds. Corruption cases arising in the oddest places.

Sessions has been unjustly maligned for expecting consistency between fed and state drug law. Since none of the people on our hit list have been arrested, he is judged to be doing nothing.

Drop 2071 does not say “Trust Sessions.” True, but it does describe his role in this kabuki. Nothing in that drop is Sessions-negative. I have seen no reversal of trusting him. As for 45’s tweets, do you believe this is his MO for dealing with problem employees?

None of us know for sure, which makes this a humdinger of a movie.

Yeah, but that’s not Sessions, that’s Trump.

See once you get the awareness in the mind that this is all Donald Trump, then the obsessions with Sessions dissipates, vaporizes and you can begin to see that Sessions will be gone in 2 months.

When you see an acting AG replace Sessions made possible by the Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998, you may see a new aggressive high-energy acting AG in place for at least 210 days and if that man or woman meets Trump’s standards, they may get the appointment to be confirmed by the Senate. Or POTUS will select another to be appointed.

This whole episode reminds of the history of Lincoln and McClellan, how McClellan was so slow and so incompetent and even conspired with other military perfumed princes to oust Lincoln based on unfitness for office (McClellan ran against Lincoln in 1864).

Once you see how a real AG can be, Sessions will be a distant memory, one that most everyone will want to forget.

What I and others are trying to do is to keep the folklore of Jeff Sessions grounded in reality and not get carried away into some fictional fable. Sessions really isn’t the right person for the job. But he’s a lucky guy for now.
