Some people are intensely concerned with fashion. Gender issues are as trendy as hemlines and shoes. If suicide suddenly became trendy, you’d see a huge number of, mostly girls, committing suicide.
You are right. In fact, the CDC tracks suicides and if they see a cluster of suicides developing they will alert local mental health authorities in an effort to stem its spread.
