"Gilligan's Island" star Dawn Wells, known for her iconic role as Mary Ann Summers on the popular series, told Fox News she is going through financial dire straits but was surprised to learn of a GoFundMe page set up to help her pay her bills.
"Although Dawn wont deny that she is indeed having a rough time, her rep told Fox News, she has been keeping her wits about herself and like so many others is doing her best to overcome difficult times."
He added that the Wells, 79, has not decided yet whether she will use the funds or return them.
She was caught completely unaware of her well-intended friend's creation of a GoFundMe page. At this time, it has not yet been decided whether she will return the funds so generously donated by her fans and friends or if it will go into a trust/fund that would help alleviate the previously mentioned issues.

I recently met Barbara Eden. My niece did an event for her in Malibu and I helped her. A dog birthday party. She seemed super nice but really sad.
Mary Anne is still hot probably because she never saw a reason to play around with her beauty ....
Ginger on the other hand went to the Cher school of beauty adornment
This is how a life of having no children and no husband ends....
Oh dear. Is that what Dawn Wells really looks like today? She’s still very beautiful!
Yep, always has been.
But the new question, around my stomping grounds anyway, is "Eve or Mandy?"
Last Man Standing.
Eve for me, although I think the chick playing Mandy would be a great Scarlet O’Hara if they ever did a Gone With the Wind remake.
Jill or Vanessa? I’ll take Jill!!!
I have seen her doing ads on ME TV for the return of Gilligan’s Island to that network and for 79 she looks great.
It is my understanding that her only child (a son) died, and she probably now reflects on how perhaps her life might have been more fulfilling.
Maybe it wasn't her fault that she didn't have children. If not, than that was foolish of her.
Like Jupiter colliding with Venus.
I saw Barbara Eden on a celebrity cooking show recently.
She looked kind of frail. She always looked a lot like my mom.
Ms. Eden has some sad stories indeed.
She had one son, who was my age. He died of a drug overdose in his mid-40’s. This set her off on a national anti-drug speaking tour.
She was pregnant with a second child as the Jeannie series was wrapping-up. The baby was stillborn. For some health-related reason they forced her to carry to term. She did so for several months, knowing the baby inside her was dead. That landed her in a psych hospital for a time.
After the event I looked her up online and saw that. She was just so quiet and reserved I wondered why.
It sounds like Barbara Eden needs prayer. Let’s all remember to pray for her.
Plastic surgery and age mix like oil and water.
Thanks for bringing me back to reality - I’m seeing all them “old-age ugly trucks” lining up in my own lane these days...my comment was unkind.
