Bob write it
Sounds just like his book
You make a great point.
"...NY Times..."
Settled so far:
* The traitor might not be a “he.” Word from the NYT was that the woman who posted the tweet didn’t know whether the rat was a he or she.
* The traitor might not be a department head despite use of the phrase, “senior official.”
Maybe NYT snagged the pizza delivery boy servicing the White House tours as their insider.
They are LARPing this to try and create discord and distrust among Trump and the staff. In a Democrat Administration, where everyone is willing to stick a knife in anyone elses back to climb another rung on the ladder, this may very well have worked.
This has “FAKE NEWS!” written all over it, as does the attempts today to reinforce the narrative, like the article I just posted from Useless Today’s Susan Page.
Remember, they MUST drive Trump’s negatives up to have any chance to win the house, save the Democratic Party, and stop Trump’s destruction of the filling-their-own-pockets-with-taxpayer-money schemes.
In this day and age nothing anonymous can be considered true. Media promotes propaganda over truth anymore. Use to be they reported the truth and the editor have his opinion. Now no one reports they just editorialize.
I think senior officials is simply the reporter hiding some actual reference that the author wrote. The reporter put in or suggested the term Senior Officials to hide actual names.
All fake news all of the time.
I have an additional take on it, PJ. To me, it had the sound of a liberal trying to write from a conservative’s perspective, but getting it all wrong because a lib’s perspective of what a conservative is all wrong.
While I respect and like you, my first reaction to the whole BS op-ed is, “Who cares?” (just not to you!)
An anonymous source, NYT? Any administration officials, Republicans, and we in the rank and file should all dismiss it out of hand, and laugh at any other journalists or democrats who bring it up.
Laugh in their face and tell them you don’t have time to discuss fiction. If and only if they provide a name will you listen and discuss.
One thing that sticks out to me reading the anonymous editorial in the New York Times is that it doesn't sound like a government official wrote it. The big "tell" is the use of the term "senior officials" in one form or similar at three points in the body of the editorial. Do regular people write like that? Not really but you know who does? Reporters.
Could be, or it could the Ringmaster of Trolling himself, President Trump. Thanks PJ-Comix.
Anonymous sources inside the New York Times have told me that all the employees in that company start off each day with a secret ceremony that finishes with each person squeezing a bottle of ketchup over their own heads.
See? I can be a journalist too!
Good catch...
