It strikes me those things LG was discussing were the source of tremendous gnashing of teeth during Bush era. Now settled law and none of the DEMs wanted to debate it. Getting him confirmed is key to the plan - it appears Grassley has scheduled the committee to meet on 9/13 and then the DEMs will obstruct again before the vote is held on 9/20 ... than on to the whole Senate before SCOTUS sits in RED OCTOBER.

Absolutely. A lot of thing that need to happen will go to SCOTUS. If it is 4-4, then the crazy 9th circuit rulings (or others) can stand.
After Kavanaugh is confirmed, we'll take our chances.
