Bush, a liberal, was forced on Reagan at the convention. Trump chose Pence, a good conservative who was not a nevertrumper, to unite the party. Major difference. Trump trusted him. It is not certain that Pence can be trusted, but he has been tested a few times, and I have seen no reason to distrust him.

Just a little thinking outside the box here. If we accept what has been going on all along here is a military operation, you would think Mike Pence would have been vetted well just in case something happened to President Trump. So far so good with VP Pence.
