Next best paint happens to be Behr, which I've also used.
Tip: if you find a color you like at SWP's stores but cannot afford the paint, take the color chip to Home Depot or Menards and have them scan it in and use Behr Premium Coverage paint. Dead ringer color-wise for SWP.
Behr has terrible adhesion. I just painted my concrete basement with 1 part epoxy and it is already peeling! Same with the exterior semi gloss paint.
Interesting info. Before buying our paint I bought samples from SW and had samples mixed at Home Depot. The colors were similar except for the one I ended up choosing for our main level. SW Silver Strand is a soft gray with blue-green undertones. In the HD paint it was a vivid blue with gray undertones.
We live in a huge fixer upper. It was ugly everywhere your eyes landed. Much of it still is, but some of the walls, ceilings and trim are done and the colors are beautiful. It gives my eyes a break from the ugliness. We painted our planked (faux ship lap)mudroom walls white and after I watched my oldest kick off his shoes into the wall I noticed that it was dirty all around the bottom. Was a bit concerned as I didnt use the higher sheen, tougher paint. It cleaned up with just a damp cloth like a dream. I am forever loyal to Sherwin-Williams.
