It has been my experience that when you tell conservatives that they have been or are being lied to, they just get angry at you and continue to believe the lies because it’s just easier that way, and they don’t have to admit that they were fooled.
Sad to admit, but you may be correct. In this instance, the consequences might well be disastrous.
People see what they want to see.

You realize that you just dissed all conservatives and accused them of doing what we clearly saw liberals doing as late as yesterday with their anger.
