There are a significant number of disaffected or otherwise politically indifferent individuals who voted for Trump in the 2016 election. These people voted either for the first time altogether, or else for the first time in many years.

If they discover, or believe, or feel that they have been deceived - presuming none of the QAnon “white hat” / “trust the plan” predictions come to pass (and, IMO, none of these will become reality) - then, being discouraged and believing that the MAGA agenda is effectively thwarted, they may not show up at the polls in the Midterm elections.

We would then most certainly lose the HOR, despite being in the midst of a roaring economy with record-breaking employment. Of course, this disparagement-induced failure to vote would then create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Unfortunately, many people are motivated not by logic and reason, but rather by emotion and feelings, which only further exacerbates the problem that is the QAnon hoax.

If Q is fake, why so much effort to discredit by media

There really hasn't been that much effort (no need)...the Q 'phenomenon' peaked in early August with their attempt to astro turf the Trump rally in Florida, coinciding with the arrest of several violent Qanon inspired crazies around the country.

Since then there have been a couple of in depth NBC articles dissecting the Qanon scammers and their methods, and maybe a piece or two in the monthly coffee table magazines...that's about it.

The White House disavowed Qanon, the Secret Service banned Q paraphernalia from Trump rallies going forward, and throughout the month as Qanon got debunked, it crashed as a trend on social media. Most of the original Qanon players themselves, have moved on.

There does seem to be an all out effort by the Qanon community to discredit this story however, so there's something to be said for your logical framework. If Posobiec is wrong, why are all the Q-bots obsessed with trying to discredit him.

Personally, I found these events today much more compelling than the sad ending to a dumb little internet melodrama...ymmv

I really have to roll my eyes over that sorry excuse. Having a true skeptical come in and verify the info would be the easiest thing to do since Microchit claims it to be such a BIG story. Neon Revolt tried over and over on Gab to get Microchit to allowing him to verify the info and he refused every time.

If you’re going to bring a big story out there, you better be able to allow others to verify it or it’s not good information your thread and source is based on. You really melted down for nothing on this thread.

To the extant that you are now thinking, well if is Microchip is a notorious troll, he could have just hacked iOS and Discord and made up these weeks of chat logs as a means to take credit for Q. Is that likely?

Now, that may very well be the case. But Microchip already has notoriety plus a significant online following and reputation. So, there wouldn’t be much benefit to him from spending all this time to come up with a new origin story and documentary evidence. And again, they told people at the time they were planning this Op Q. So, which is more likely?

In the course of reporting this piece, I had many occasions to speak with both Microchip and Dreamcatcher. You can find them both online, and they have both agreed to answer questions from press and public alike about the creation of QAnon.

I welcome skeptecism and questions about these chat logs. I am a skeptic myself, but in the the end, I decided it was best to release the information for the public to read and make up their own minds.
