This is common practice theoughout the animal kingdom. The new male kills the offspring of the previous male in order to get the female to come into season sooner, so he can breed with her and produce his own offspring.
But since we are spiritual/material composites, when human beings fall, we do not fall into the animalistic: we fall into the demonic.
