...just more of the same anti-American crap....
The late Neil Armstrongs 1969 trip to the moon may have been one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind, but it was also a massive achievement for the United States.
One of Armstrongs first orders of business was to proudly plant the American flag, after all.
But Ryan Gosling, the Canadian actor who plays Armstrong in First Man, Hollywoods rendition of the moon landing, told the Telegraph the magic moment was intentionally omitted from the big screen because Armstrongs achievement transcended countries and borders.

Trump could make the trade deal contingent on adding a flag planting scene.

“Neil was extremely humble, as were many of these astronauts, and time and time again he deferred the focus from himself to the 400,000 people who made the mission possible.
400,000 Americans...

I love documentaries about the early days of NASA. Movies not so much. Those astronauts were extremely impressive and courageous men, and Hollywood actors always seem sort of girly and silly by comparison.
I am positive Ryan Gosling would fall into that category.

The Saturn V rocket bore an American flag, not a UN flag. The CSM bore an American Flag, not a UN flag. The LEM bore an American flag, not a UN flag. The astronauts wore space suits bearing a US flag, not a UN flag. The Saturn V rocket was made in the USA. The CSM was made in the USA. The LEM was made in the USA. The space suits were made in the USA.
The landing may have inspired the world, but it was an American achievement that showcased the skill, talent, technical expertise, and will of the USA.

Armstrongs achievement transcended countries and borders. I doubt this is Goslings' own opinion.
I suspect this was the narrative of the screenwriter and director.

Transcends countries and borders??? THAT WAS ALL AMERICAN INGENUITY!! NO OTHER COUNTRY!! The single greatest achievement in the history of the World......but we dont want to make any other countries feel bad about themselves, do we.....so Hollywood chooses to denigrate our hard work. APPALLING!
