I remember Oprah in the early days. She had a good show. The last say ten or fifteen years? Not so much. She got “out of touch” with issues of women.

Like for a while there she’s post a story about a missing child and viewers would take notice. Do you know some of those kids were found because of her show? Why did she stop that? That is the kind of things her fans were interested in. They had kids so they were interested in the welfare of kids!

The day she announced that she refused to have Sarah Palin as a guest, yet had 0bama on, was the turning point. Her show lost so many viewers after that decision that she soon announced she would not be renewing her contract. Up to that point she had had one of the most successful daytime shows ever.
