The biggest cartel is the government. If you don’t like facebook, you don’t have to be on facebook. If you don’t like twitter, you can leave twitter. But if the government is in your face, you have to financially support it, and you cannot argue with a policeman, even if he’s abusing his power. The only thing you can do is move to a different country, and that one has a government, too.

Ergo, government intervention is never Plan A, might even be Plan Z. So try to go to competitors who will not shadow ban you or censor you, and give you services, such as stupid games, e-mail and movie previews, while repeatedly selling your personal data without your express permission.

The biggest cartel is the government.

That one we have to tolerate. The last thing we need is another one, and we should use the power of government to destroy any other cartel that has pretension of manipulating elections by destroying public speech.
