Likely the most politically and culturally earth shattering thing he ever did.

'COUNTRY FIRST'
Out of so much bad in McCain’s entitled, sordid political career, this is one of the good things he did.
First and only time I knocked on doors. Was totally behind when Sarah was announced. So disappointed with what happened and how it fizzled out.
“My friends”, hopefully a statement never uttered again in my lifetime ...Major barf alert! ...yech! ...
Sarah’s the only reason anybody voted for the prick.
i remember that. I did n’t know who she was, but everyone here just lit the place up!
Plus i liked that the liberals heads were exploding all over. Figured she had to be a good choice to piss off so many people.
Pinging you to this one too. 10 year anniversary of McCain’s introduction of Palin to the world is days away.
As a Daytonian, I still recall that day....and the previous evening when she flew into a small airport approx 30 minutes south of Dayton.
There was an all-night FR thread following her flight - it was an exciting night!
As others have posted, I voted for Sarah.
I’ve always believed the RNC establishment recognized her as a threat to their power base and wanted to blemish her record by being on the designated losing team. That’s the ONLY reason McInsane chose her for VP.
