On Thursday afternoon, a McLaren going more than 100 MPH (160 KPH) on the wrong side of Interstate 805 in San Diego killed two people and injured eight more. The driver of the McLaren is allegedly an 18-year-old Counter Strike YouTuber known online as McSkillet, who may have passed away in the crash.

I guess i could consider it a FIFTH time while sitting at McDonalds on Rt 1 in Dedham MA in the late 70’s while eating my cheeseburger i see this car going by the restaurant up rt 1 in the wrong direction.
hope that TOOL didn’t hurt anybody.
Around 10 yrs ago i hitched a ride home with a buddy after a party and after a stop light took a left turn onto RT 1 towards the wrong direction.
I SCREAMED WTF! he swerved and got back on track.
Yea....he was drinking.
Excessive speed is a problem for all but the most talented and experienced of drivers. Astronauts and fighter pilots die at a high rate despite careful selection, huge support teams, state-of-the-art safety technology, and every possible precaution.
If some person with more money than sense buys a Dodge Hellcat and kills himself by wrapping it around a tree, I would just say that he should have known his limitations. It's too bad. If he kills an innocent family in the process, then it's a tragedy. Laws against reckless driving (which invariably involves excessive speed) are really designed to protect against the latter, not the former.
I’m familiar with that McDonald’s. It was just down from the car dealership and was before the traffic light for the U-turn lane.
GTA is a game. Reality is much different.
Apparently he made a lot of quick easy money, and then the ability to keep making that money was taken away.

Undivided highways can be killers.
In my opinion, when 2 and or 4 lane highways were designed they should have incorporated a medium or buffer between the two opposing directions. Kind of a no brainer. Countless lives could have been saved.
It’s hard to stop these morons on freeways, but on undivided highways, it’s best to run with headlights on to avoid bad and or perpetually distracted drivers.
Unfortunately, it’s just hard to avoid the screw worms who are bent on suicide while making innocents part of their suicide plan.
Everyone on the planet would be dead. After all, earth isn’t stationary.
These YouTubers are today's rock stars. DanTDM made over $16 million last year making YouTube videos. He has a merchandise line and goes on tours performing in sports arenas.
A lot of these guys lean right/libertarian and are pro-Trump.
"...McSkillet..."
PewDiePie comes to mind in that category as well. May not be overtly pro-Trump, but is definitely anti-SJW as a result of Gamergate and other events.
65 million subscribers, most Gen Z / post-Millenial. Every video he puts up gets multi-million views.
If it was a McClaren P1, it was a 1.8 Million dollar car.
Yikes!
I have No idea ,,,
It was a 2015 owned by McSkillit
Who was an online Wiz Gamer.
McSkillit obviously went “TILT!”
Now that car is Scrap as is McCrap.
Speed does not kill. It is the sudden stop that kills you.
Or as Petter Solberg said, in mixed English and Norwegian, Its not the fart that kills you its the smell.
And leftists are very concerned by this.
Whats up PewdiePie? The troubling content of YouTubes biggest star
His ironic tone means he rarely says anything explicitly offensive. But the themes and memes that recur in his videos are consistent: images of famous African-Americans (Neil deGrasse Tyson, Barack Obama) captioned with the wrong names; a meme to which the punchline is respecting women; African voices sampled and replayed in incongruous situations; recitations of English language posts on Indian Facebook. Pepe the Frog will also make appearances. As for Book Review, the final item on last months edition was Jordan B Petersons 12 Rules for Life. Kjellberg gave it a rave review. I really enjoyed this book, he said, it made me understand people around me better. Felix PewdiePie Kjellberg is funny, intelligent, innovative and highly charismatic. He also has one of the worlds biggest public platforms and a remit restricted only by YouTubes terms of service. To call him an alt-right agitator would perhaps be unfair as he has never publicly identified with the proto-fascist movement. But he shares much of their culture and amplifies it across the world. People should pay PewdiePie more attention.""Always inclined towards the type of humour common on the forums of 4Chan and murkier subReddits, Kjellberg has nowadays doubled down on material that is, to put it gently, anti-PC.
My boys, 7 and 9, watch all these gamers on YouTube. They know who they are, what they're doing, laugh at their jokes. They're paying attention. There isn't a single TV show on network or cable that they watch. If they are passively viewing something on a TV screen, it is on YouTube and it is one of these gamers cracking offensive, politically-incorrect jokes that no network today would dare touch.
Doubtful. Foreigners tend to drive fast cars much better than Americans do.
